1-3pm Eastern/NYC Time
10-1pm Pacific/Los Angeles Time

Join me on Pilatesology for a webinar + workout on neck health while doing Pilates. If you joined me on for Hack the Neck and Upper Back on June 13…THIS IS NOT THE SAME workshop. This is utterly different.

In this one, we’ll spend 1 hour learning about the anatomy and biomechanics of the neck and what to do with necks in Pilates. Then we’ll spend 1 hour in a mat workout applying the information! Of course, we will make time for Q/A, as well!!

Here’s the info:

The Pilates Promise is a safe and strong workout now matter what issues or ailments you might have. Then that means we have to know enough about the neck to be sure we are living up to that promise. The practice of Pilates, in all styles, seems to miss true neck care both for those who have neck issues and for maintaining healthy necks. This workshop will share information about the neck, how to strengthen and support it in ways that change your teaching and workouts for the better! Small alterations make a world of difference from a weak or unstable neck to a strong one. This changes your posture as well as shoulder girdle and arm strength! Small alterations reveal big rewards! Pilates should work for everyone all of the time. Let’s make sure we know what to do and not to do with necks!

Objectives:
1 - Learn neck and related structures’ anatomy and physical biomechanics
2 - Learn common errors in placement and support of the neck in Pilates
3 - Learn appropriate and strengthening placement and support of the neck in Pilates
4 - Immediately apply this information to your physical practice with a Mat workout!
