Cancellation and Liability:
In-Person and Live-streaming Work:
Cancellation Policy:
I have a very strict 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24-hours before your appointed time or you will still be responsible for paying for the session.
There are no exceptions to this policy.
Any pre-paid sessions that are cancelled have a 4% cancellation fee. It’s the charge the credit card company charges me for your cancellation.
Liability:
Your agreement to a session means that you agree to the following:
I understand that I have enrolled in a program of strenuous physical activity including but not limited to body-conditioning machinery used during my Pilates workouts. I hereby absolve Shari Berkowitz and The Vertical Workshop, Inc. from any responsibility for injuries I might sustain while practicing the the Pilates method of body conditioning or any actions learned with or by Shari Berkowitz and The Vertical Workshop, Inc.
I hereby release for myself, my heirs and assigns, Shari Berkowitz, The Vertical Workshop, Inc. (and its employees) from any claims, demands and causes of actions arising from my participation in an exercise program.
Agreement to this Cancellation and Liability Information will act as your continued agreement to all ensuing sessions, workshops and/or seminars whether in person, via Skype or any other video conferencing tool.
Recordings:
Cancellation Policy:
Once registered for recordings, there is a zero cancellation policy. That means that you cannot cancel your registration for recordings once you have paid for them. There are no refunds.
There are no exceptions to this policy.

Liability:
Your agreement to view the recording of this set of sessions and all ensuing sessions (sessions includes workshops, seminars or any recorded material) with Shari Berkowitz and Shari Berkowitz and The Vertical Workshop, Inc. means that you agree to the following:

Participation in a Live-Stream:
When participating in a Live-stream (or any other spelling of the sort), you agree to the following:
Photograph & Video Release:
I hereby grant permission to the rights of my image, likeness and sound of my voice as recorded on audio or video tape without payment or any other consideration. I understand that my image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image or recording. I also understand that this material may be used in diverse educational settings within an unrestricted geographic area.
Photographic, audio or video recordings may be used for the following purposes:
conference presentations
educational presentations or courses
informational presentations
on-line educational courses
educational videos
By participating in any recorded livestream with Shari Berkowitz or The Vertical Workshop, Inc., I understand this permission signifies that photographic or video recordings of me may be electronically displayed via the Internet or in the public educational setting.
I will be consulted about the use of the photographs or video recording for any purpose other than those listed above.
There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed.
This release applies to photographic, audio or video recordings collected as part of the recorded livestream sessions, workouts, classes, webinars, seminars you register for with Shari Berkowitz or The Vertical Workshop, Inc.
By participating in any recorded livestream with Shari Berkowitz or The Vertical Workshop, Inc. , I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand the above release and agree to be bound thereby. I hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization utilizing this material for educational purposes.
Recordings, Handouts & Manuals
Agreement to Not Reproduce or Share the Recording and/or Handout:
Once I have the ability to view any of Shari Berkowitz and The Vertical Workshop, Inc.’s video recordings, you agree that you will not make any copies of it in any manner for any reason. You agree that you will make only one printout of the handout. You agree that you will not share any video recording and/or handout with anyone in any format hardcopy, electronic or any other format. You recognize that these materials belong to Shari Berkowitz and The Vertical Workshop, Inc.
Semi-Private Rules
If you register for a semi-private, you understand and agree to the following:
1 - You must be a Strong Intermediate to Advanced in Classical Pilates.
To be fair to a semi-private, I cannot teach you all of the exercises. You must know them enough that I can cue and deepen your understanding and give you a proper workout! A Semi-Private must be Classical only. Thank you!
2 - If your partner cancels and it becomes a Private, your session rate changes to a Private rate. You will not receive notice if a Semi-Private becomes a Private.
Semi-Private: $45-85/person
Private: $100-150
Note that this is less than the Private-Only rate.
This is a special Private rate for those who are open to Semi-Privates.
3 - Same 24-hour cancellation policy remains. That means if your partner cancels within 24-hours, you get a Private at the Semi-Private rate that you already chose.
